About Me

My name is Robert Entenman.  I’m  a software engineer studying Computer Science and Systems at the University of Washington Tacoma.  I’m 31 years old and I’m a huge geek.

I’m a fan of futurism, all things computing, and learning.  I have various interests, but they typically all center around technology and/or computing.  I’m sure you can Google around or visit some of the below sites to get an idea of what I’m in to.

If I were to categorize myself into an individual profession, I’d say I’m closest to an engineer or a consultant.  Over the last 16 years I’ve worked in industries like education, telecommunications, marketing and philanthropy, all with a tech slant.  I find myself attracted to organizations that are doing something different or new, and enjoy working on creative projects that produce output.  I’ve had the opportunity to work with and for large entities like Microsoft, Boeing, Amazon, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Google.  Living in the Pacific Northwest, its hard not to intersect with some kind of novel technology– the above companies are an example of but a handful of truly innovative groups working out here.

As I mentioned above , I’m a student studying Computer Science & Systems.  A good portion of my life is devoted to this topic, so it made sense to pursue it academically.  A substantial portion of my writings and thoughts are on computing, sciences and technology in general.  I’m a firm believer in learning by doing and I try and share what I know as much as possible with those who will listen.
